U30 Group is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should you be asked to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using participating in our Services, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Consumer research participation

We collect and maintain personal information that you voluntarily submit when participating in consumer research activities. We use the information you have provided to us so that we can complete consumer research projects. This includes your participation and/or attendance in consumer research projects and events hosted by us or our third-party partners.

  • To allow you to participate in online research – online research platform providers such as a survey tool provider, online interview tool provider or online journal tool provider;
  • To allow you to participate in in-person research – third party research facility, such as a company with focus group meeting facilities or test kitchen facilities;
  • To share research reports and findings – to a U30 Group client who has commissioned the research
  • To deliver you test products to evaluate – delivery companies who will transport a product to your location;
  • To deliver you incentives earned from completing research projects – rewards companies that will email or mail you earned incentives for participation in a research project;

What is our legal basis?

It is necessary for us to use your personal information to perform our obligations in accordance with any contract that we may have with you.

Business administration and legal compliance

We may disclose your personal information for the following business administration and legal compliance purposes:

9 CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We are committed to keeping the personal information you provide to us secure and we will take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or alteration.

10  HOW TO ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION AND YOUR OTHER RIGHTS?

You have the following rights in relation to the personal information we hold about you:

Your right of access

If you ask us, we’ll confirm whether we’re processing your personal information and, if so, provide you with a copy of that personal information (along with certain other details). If you require additional copies, we may need to charge a reasonable fee.

Your right to rectification

If the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you’re entitled to have it rectified. If we’ve shared your personal information with others, we’ll let them know about the rectification where possible. If you ask us, where possible and lawful to do so, we’ll also tell you who we’ve shared your personal information with so that you can contact them directly.

Your right to erasure

You can ask us to delete or remove your personal information in some circumstances such as where we no longer need it or if you withdraw your consent (where applicable). If we’ve shared your personal information with others, we’ll let them know about the erasure where possible. If you ask us, where it is possible and lawful for us to do so, we’ll also tell you who we’ve shared your personal information with so that you can contact them directly.

Your right to restrict processing

You can ask us to ‘block’ or suppress the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances such as where you contest the accuracy of that personal information or you object to us processing it. It won’t stop us from storing your personal information though. We’ll tell you before we lift any restriction. If we’ve shared your personal information with others, we’ll let them know about the restriction where it is possible for us to do so. If you ask us, where it is possible and lawful for us to do so, we’ll also tell you who we’ve shared your personal information with so that you can contact them directly.

Your right to data portability

With effect from 25 May 2018, you have the right, in certain circumstances, to obtain personal information you’ve provided us with (in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format) and to reuse it elsewhere or to ask us to transfer this to a third party of your choice.

11  DATA TRANSFERS

Some of the personal information we collect about you through the Site will be transferred to countries other than the country in which the information originally was collected. Those countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information. When we transfer your personal information to other countries, we will protect that information as described in this Privacy Notice and will comply with applicable legal requirements.

If you are located in the EEA, with respect to transfers of personal information to the U.S., U30 Group complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States. U30 Group has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. Consistent with Privacy Shield Principles, U30 Group may transfer personal information to a third party. We will only disclose an individual’s personal information to third parties under the following conditions:

  • The disclosure is consistent with and limited to the specific purposes as described in the section “How We Use the Information We Obtain” in this Online Privacy Policy.
  • U30 Group maintain written contracts with third parties and require that these third parties provide at least the same level of privacy protection and security as required by the Privacy Shield Principles. Third parties are obliged to notify the U30 Group if they make a determination that they can no longer meet their obligations, and our written contracts provide that when such a determination is made, the third party ceases processing or takes other reasonable and appropriate steps to remediate.

U30 Group remains responsible and liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if a third-party that it engages to process personal information on its behalf does so in a manner inconsistent with the Privacy Shield Principles, unless U30 Group proves that it is not responsible for the matter giving rise to the damage.

12  ENFORCEMENT

In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, U30 Group commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information.  Individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our Privacy Shield Policy should first contact U30 Group at: [email protected].

13  CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. To ensure that you are always aware of how we use your personal information we will update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect any changes to our use of your personal information. We may also make changes as required to comply with changes in applicable law or regulatory requirements. We will notify you by e-mail of any significant changes.
